Our Stainless Steel 347H Nuts are made from a high-carbon austenitic stainless steel alloy that’s stabilized with niobium (columbium). This unique composition provides outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature oxidation. Typically, our nuts contain 17–19% chromium and 9–13% nickel, with the higher carbon content enhancing their creep and stress rupture resistance. They boast impressive mechanical properties, including a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa.
