Typically, the composition features 23–25% Chromium, 12–14% Nickel, 2.0–3.0% Molybdenum, and a low carbon content (maximum 0.03%). The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 87,000 psi (600 MPa), a yield strength of around 60,000 psi (414 MPa), and an elongation of 30–35%.
